frankly i left the "run as Admin" check on and let Steam do the rest of the work. Hitting accept, Steam tried to locate the files under that folder and registered the game up. It ran off a lil bit weird at first for about 1~2 minute but it worked out and Steam ask me to "download" r6s. Okay, this time I'm going to turn off Compatibility Mode under the property section with the "RainbowSix.exe", and trying to tap on it again. I double tapped the program in the folder and iirc there's still no signs whatsoever, so i turned on UPlay to try on "Download the game" but still nothing happened, it's clear I haven't officially reinstalled the game under Steam but I want to make sure UPlay locate my game correctly thus if it was trying to pair with Steam it would send info directly TO Steam where the game was as well.

Next I right clicked the "RainbowSix.exe" and chose property, under compatibility mode I checked with Windows 7 and checked the "run as administrator" option as well. I wondered what seemed to be the problem with game linking and ALSO launching, so I first double tapped "RainbowSix_BE.exe" to make sure the BattleEye system is correctly installed, and it ran with no problem, no signs of glitches. Apparently the game folder is still there and the game under Steam Library showed that it was uninstalled so i thought that might had a link issue around there.Īfter that I changed the folder name back to "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" and pressed the button on "RainbowSix.exe", however there was still no luck causing the same bug to pop. i simply changed the "folder name" under SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/ from "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" to whatever random words, and then uninstalled my game though Steam. After i encountered the bug still when i reinstalled my game. But i managed to bypass the difficulties with these steps, maybe you guys could get lucky with it too.įirst i followed the steps above the site with a little tweak. i just want to fix the game but every time I press the button it just won't start, and it was super hard to fix with frustration. I was trying to find the resolution too, and i stumbled upon this thread on reddit, the title itself wasn't that clear what the problem actually was, but for my case before this bug, i uninstalled the game (cuz there's a time i don't want to play anymore), uninstalled UPlay (got a new SSD), reinstalled the game in a different hard drive, and even changed a new graphics card from AMD to Nvidia.
I got a fix myself, and i'm gonna share it here despite there are tons of ppl asking the question and yet to find a suitable answer, this thread however shows at the top of my Google search, so yeah.
